Horner Automation is an industry leader in all-in-one controllers and offers a wide range of industrial and building automation products. Their core focus is PLCs, operator interface devices, control software, and a variety of I/O devices, but Horner also offers a wide base of wired and wireless network communications. This includes RS-485-based, CAN-based, and Ethernet-based, as well as standard Fieldbus networks like CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus, and Industrial Ethernet.

XL OSC series

The XL OSC series offers robust, reliable control. These devices combine a traditional controller with an operator interface, built-in I/O, networking. and removable mass data storage in an integrated, all-in-one unit. The XL series products are cost effective and provide significantly more functionality than a PLC and operator interface.

Micro OCS X series

The micro OCS line is comprised of fixed I/O controllers with exceptional performance. Powerful and efficient, they are well-suited to perform many of the same high-end applications as the XL series, but at the price point of an introductory component.

These controllers offer an intuitive design for more simple needs. The RCC series provide OEMs, integrators, and automation end-users with flexible, functional I/O and simple all-in-one controller options without a built-in screen. They are smart enough to compliment the Horner Automation OSC family and ideal for applications where a screenless controller is the best fit.

Expansion and remote I/O

The SmartBlock is Horner Automation’s best analog I/O and simple I/O solution. It is designed for CAN-based networks requiring high-resolution I/O.

Featuring Modbus and an RS485 1/2 duplex, SmartMod covers a variety of low-cost I/O offerings, such as voltage, current, temperature, and digital.

SmartRail – Bases

With several communication base options, the SmartRail bases are highly expandable and scalable. Their modular I/O allows for granular digital and analog I/O configurations to suit any specification without wasted space or hardware cost.

SmartRail – Modules

SmartRail I/O expands the I/O capacity of OCS all-in-one controllers. It uses fieldbus technology and can be installed locally or thousands of meters away.

The SmartStix product is perfect for when just a few I/O points are needed. It can be used remotely or two expand the I/O capacity of any CsCAN Horner Automation OCS application.

The remote compact controller (RCC) is a compact controller ideal for applications where a screenless controller is the best fit.

SmartStack Metal

The SmartStack Metal models are the classic modular stack-on modules for OCS, RCS, RX, NX, and QX series controllers. They allow for flexible on-board I/O options.

SmartStack Plastic

The SmartStack Plastic models are the classic modular stack-on modules for OCS, RCS, RX, NX, and QX series controllers. They allow for flexible on-board I/O options.

Classic OCS

The Classic Text OCS has a ladder-based control engine that is powered by the highly-rated Intel 296 processor.

All NX series OCS units feature an integrated operator interface and control engine, support downloadable PLC/drive communications protocols, and feature CompactFlash slot.

The QX series color-touch OCS units are all-in-one controllers with modularity. All units feature an integrated operator interface and control engine, with multiple serial ports, built-in Ethernet, and removable mass storage.

RCX

The remote control station (RCX) series is a compact, screenless controller that provides all the benefits of an Ethernet-enabled OCS and utilizes the same processor found in the XL6 products.

XL6e

All XL6e units feature a 320×240 graphics display with 32000+ colors. The XL6e adds a factory-installed Ethernet port, providing full Ethernet functionality, including SmartRail I/O (Ethernet), HTTP web serving, FTP file transfer, Modbus/TC/IP.

The ZX series are large, powerful controllers. They contain advanced control capabilities, high-resolution graphics, and plenty of connectivity options.

The RX color-touch OCS is a ruggedized, all-in-one controller with modularity.
